Company History

Founded in 1983, Newburyport Towing Service and Expert Auto & Truck Services were initially located in Amesbury, behind the U.S. Post Office. With the expansion of the revitalization of Newburyport, the company was forced to relocate its operations. In 1986, the Lowells built their current facility on South Hunt Road in Amesbury, where they consolidated their repair shop and tow storage lots. As industry advocates, Walter and Kim have served in various positions on association boards, including Kim as President of Statewide Towing Association of Massachusetts and Walter as Chairman of the Greater Merrimack Valley Repair Education Council.

The family business has grown over the years, with parents, sisters, cousins, and children all contributing their unique perspectives and expertise. Joining the family business in 2011, Benjamin, the Lowell's son, brings youth, passion, forward-thinking marketing, and business innovations to the company. Over the years, the Lowells have strived for excellence in service by investing in education, equipment, and technology to meet the ever-changing needs and desires of the driving public.
