Negative: Reviewers have expressed frustration and anger at the club's deceptive and unethical business practices, poor customer service, and poor maintenance of its facilities.

Deceptive and Unethical Business Practices

The majority of reviews for Harro East Athletic Club have been overwhelmingly negative, with multiple reviewers expressing frustration and anger at the club's deceptive and unethical business practices. One reviewer, Andrew Liu, gave the club a 1-star rating and warned others to "AVOID AT ALL COSTS" after experiencing difficulty canceling his membership and being charged for a balance that had already been paid off.

Other reviewers have had similar issues with the club's cancellation policies and staff behavior. Brandon Wright gave the club a 2-star rating, citing a 30-day notice period for cancellations as "horrible" and stating that the club will charge customers for a month after they try to cancel. Joseph Blackburn, in a scathing review, described the club's pool as "a potential hazard to your health" after discovering that it had been filled with concrete and that the manager, Gabby, had refused to acknowledge the issue.

Quality and Maintenance

Another review, written by Pat Suter, gave the club a 5-star rating, describing it as "one of the best gyms in Rochester" and praising the staff, particularly the manager, Dan. Suter noted that the facilities are a bit outdated, but stated that they have everything one needs from a health club. Travis Kolstad also gave the club a 5-star rating, with no specific criticisms.

Poor Customer Service

Finally, David Dais gave the club a 1-star rating after experiencing poor customer service at the front desk. He had gone to play basketball at the club's gym, which had previously been $5 per hour, but was told that the gym wasn't available and was treated poorly by the staff.
