Acorn Child Care Center

At Acorn Child Care Center, we believe that every child is unique and deserves a nurturing environment that supports their growth and development. Our center is family-owned and operated, with a mission to create a safe and nurturing space for children, families, and teachers alike. We offer child care services for ages 2 months to 8 years, with programs tailored for infants, toddlers, preschool, and pre-K children.

Our programs are designed to support individual growth in social, emotional, self-help, language, intellectual, and physical development, as well as independence, competence, originality, and self-expression. We believe in active learning through hands-on experience and provide ample opportunities for children to laugh, play, and form friendships.

Philosophy

Here at Acorn, we regard each child as an individual and take great care to provide opportunities for them to grow at their own pace. We believe in active learning through hands-on experience and provide plenty of time for children to have fun while learning.

Programs

Our programs are designed to cater to the needs of infants, toddlers, preschool, and pre-K children. We offer age-appropriate play-based curricula that support individual growth in various areas, including social, emotional, self-help, language, intellectual, and physical development. Our programs are designed to foster independence, competence, originality, and self-expression.

Infant Program

Our infant program is highly individualized, with a focus on meeting the basic needs of infants. We have two infant rooms, each licensed for seven infants, with a teacher:child ratio of 1:3 or 2:7. The curriculum includes activities such as storytelling, music, songs, floor play, tummy time, and more. We provide diapers and wipes, and parents provide food for their children.

Toddler Program

Our toddler program includes three classrooms, each licensed for nine toddlers, with a teacher:child ratio of 1:4 or 2:9. The curriculum is designed to support toddlers' learning and development through play-based activities.
