Our founder, Ocie Jackson Yarborough, began his journey as a subcontractor specializing in carpentry after moving to Pennsylvania from South Carolina. His determination to provide a better living for himself and his family led him to establish "Yarborough Development" in 1955. Over the years, the company has evolved and expanded its services to become the reputable general contractor it is today.

Our Story

YDI Construction's story began with a young man named Ocie Jackson Yarborough, who had a dream of providing a better life for himself and his family. His journey started with the purchase of a 1956 Chevrolet, which led him to Pennsylvania where he found work in the construction industry. After realizing he could make a better living in Pennsylvania, Yarborough decided to stay and eventually founded "Yarborough Development" in 1955.

Over the years, the company has grown and evolved, becoming incorporated in 1975 and officially becoming Yarborough Development. Today, we continue to uphold the same values and work ethic that our founder instilled in us. We are proud of our past work and continue to strive for excellence in everything we do.
