Kings & Queens Child Care Center

At Kings & Queens Childcare Center, we believe that every child is royalty. We are a 24-hour family childcare center serving the metropolitan area, dedicated to providing high-quality care and education to children from infancy to school age. Our mission is to create a nurturing environment that fosters emotional, social, and intellectual growth, while promoting independence, curiosity, and creativity.

History

Our center was founded by Cynthia D., who left a successful career in private contracting for the Department of Justice to care for her aging parents and provide support to needy families who struggled to find quality childcare. With over 21 years of experience in early childhood education, Cynthia recognized the need for a childcare center that offers flexible and personalized care to meet the unique needs of each child and family.

Curriculum

Our curriculum, "It's All About Me, My Needs, and What I See, " is designed to promote interaction, intentional teaching, small group learning, individualized instruction, conversations, play, and positive home-school connections. We believe that every child deserves a curriculum that is tailored to their unique interests, strengths, and abilities. Our teachers and staff work closely with families to understand their child's needs and create a personalized learning plan.

Programs

We offer a range of programs to cater to the diverse needs of families. Our programs include:

• Infant Program (Camelot): A nurturing environment that fosters emotional and social development, with a focus on attachment and bonding.
• Toddler Program (Buckingham Palace): A play-based curriculum that promotes exploration, discovery, and creativity, while introducing social-emotional and cognitive skills.
• Twilight Program (Knights Kingdom): A non-traditional childcare program for parents who work non-traditional hours, offering a safe and engaging environment for children to sleep and rest.

Meal Program

As part of The First Lady Michelle Obama's Healthier School Challenge, we follow the guidelines of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) to provide nutritious meals and snacks. Our meal program is designed to promote healthy eating habits, physical activity, and nutrition education.
