Our History

Hart Funeral Home has a rich history dating back to 1936, when Mike Alwin opened the business, which was then known as Alwin Funeral Home. In 1949, Lonnie and Goldie Hart took over the business and renamed it Hart Funeral Home. After Lonnie's passing in 2002, his son, Michael, and his wife, Ty, took the reins, ensuring that the Hart family's legacy continued. With a deep understanding of the importance of dignity and respect, Michael and Ty work tirelessly to provide exceptional service to each family they serve.

Our Funeral Directors

Our team of experienced and compassionate funeral directors are dedicated to ensuring that every family is treated with the utmost respect and care. Michael W. Hart, a licensed funeral director and embalmer, has over 30 years of experience in the funeral industry. Ty Ruth Nance Hart, also a licensed funeral director, brings a wealth of experience in funeral services and education. Together, they provide guidance and support to families during one of the most challenging times in their lives.

Our Facility

In 1995, Hart Funeral Home relocated to its current location on Master Street, providing a modern and spacious facility that is handicap accessible and features a large parking area. The beautifully decorated interior and comfortable seating areas create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for families and their loved ones.
