A Personal View is a state-of-the-art private personal training studio located in Bellingham, WA, created to promote one-on-one, customized training in functional fitness. Functional fitness is an exciting new personal training methodology that incorporates a wide variety of equipment and exercises to improve flexibility, stability, coordination, agility, balance, and posture. Our mission is to motivate, encourage, inspire, and assist our clients in achieving their fitness goals.

About Patti Guarino

Patti Guarino, AAS, is the owner and operator of A Personal View. She is an ACSM Certified Health Fitness Specialist with a passion for helping individuals achieve their fitness goals. With a strong educational background in fitness and health, Patti has created a unique approach to personal training that focuses on functional fitness and one-on-one instruction.

What is Functional Fitness?

Functional fitness is a whole-body synergistic approach to fitness training that focuses on using multiple muscle groups in an integrated fashion, rather than using a series of weight machines to work out individual muscle groups. Functional fitness is often referred to as "training for life, " because it focuses on preparing your body to eliminate pain and discomfort while you perform daily activities, such as walking, bending, lifting, and climbing stairs.
