Latta Structural Engineers, LLC is a consulting structural engineering firm located in Brentwood, Tennessee. We are dedicated to providing exceptional structural engineering services for a diverse range of projects. We take pride in providing quality construction documents that are clear and constructible. Our engineers are registered in 29 states and have Model Law Structural Engineer status with the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES), which allows prompt licensure in other states. Latta Structural Engineers is a registered small business with Metro Government of Nashville and Davidson County and is registered to do business with the U.S. Federal Government.

Meet Our Team

*Trent E Latta, PE, SE - Principal*

Mr. Latta has over 15 years of experience designing structures of all construction types throughout the U.S. He founded Latta Structural Engineers after serving as Chief Operating Officer for an international structural engineering company headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee. He has served as Project Manager and Structural Engineer of Record for large healthcare projects located in hurricane-prone regions and high-seismic regions throughout the country. As Principal-in-Charge, he oversees all of the firm's projects.

*J Kirk Hodge, PE, SE - Structural Engineer*

Mr. Hodge joined Latta Structural Engineers, LLC in October 2010 and is responsible for the structural design and documentation of building projects. He has assisted with multiple projects including several medical office buildings, warehouse foundation designs, and renovations of schools. Prior to joining Latta Structural Engineers, Mr. Hodge worked in Haiti alongside two hundred Haitian engineers employed by the Government of Haiti's Ministry of Public Works in assessing earthquake damage after the January 2010 earthquake. In Haiti, he supported the Haitian engineers through capacity-building of earthquake engineering knowledge.

Mr. Neely has over 15 years of experience detailing and drafting in the structural engineering industry. He is involved in the production of construction documents, including drawings and specifications, for various projects at the firm.

Projects

*Overall Creek Elementary*

This two-story elementary school is located in the Murfreesboro City Schools district. The school consists of approximately 138,000 square feet, including a gymnasium, media center, support spaces, and classroom space. Our team provided structural engineering services for the new construction of the school, which features a steel frame with composite slab floors and a steel purlin roof structure.

*Landmark Hospital of Savannah*

This three-story long-term acute care hospital of 48,000 square feet with 50 patient beds is located in Savannah, Georgia. The hospital features a steel frame with composite slab floors and a steel purlin roof structure. Lateral load resistance is provided by ordinary steel moment frames. Our team provided structural engineering services for the new construction of the hospital.

*TrustPoint Hospital*

This specialty hospital is a two-story, 53-bed physical rehabilitation and psychiatric care hospital of approximately 70,000 square feet located near the existing Middle Tennessee Medical Center. Our team provided structural engineering services for the new construction of the hospital, which features a steel frame with composite slab floors and a steel purlin roof structure.

*Haiti*

Latta Structural Engineers is providing structural engineering services for Live Beyond in the construction of their Haiti base just outside of Port-au-Prince. The base includes housing for missionaries, volunteers, and medical staff, as well as a medical clinic, a school, and a clean water distribution system. Our team is providing structural engineering services for the new construction of the facilities, which feature reinforced concrete walls and slabs.
