Spring Architects

Spring Architects is a full-service architectural firm based in Austin, TX, specializing in the planning and design of commercial, multi-family residential/high-density vertical mixed-use, adaptive reuse, and custom residential buildings. The firm was established in May 2013, and our principals have a combined total of over 40 years of architectural design and construction management experience.

Our Philosophy

At Spring Architects, we view each project's unique challenges as an opportunity to express our talents in design, sustainability, and project management. As principals in a small, emerging firm, we are directly involved in the design process from the planning phase through final close-out and beyond, ensuring that we maintain the relationships we have built over the years and looking forward to building new partnerships in the future.

Our Delivery

We welcome the early inclusion of consultants and contractors, and we find that a more cohesive team leads to a more cohesive project. We embrace technology and the collaborative opportunities that have evolved with the latest design software and project management tools. We offer various delivery methods, including traditional Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, or Integrated Project Delivery, tailored to meet the specific needs and goals of each project.

Our Principals

*Andrea Freiburger, AIA*

Andrea Freiburger is a licensed architect and founder of Spring Architects. She has a deep respect for others, believing that everyone deserves a safe, healthy, and delightful space to inhabit. Andrea is excited about creating vibrant micro-communities, large and small scale, with mixed-use sites and live/work units. She is proud of the work Spring Architects has done in affordable housing and believes that access to fresh air and nature needs to be woven into the everyday experience.

Andrea has been working in the architectural and construction community of central Texas since 2000, with overlapping experience in architectural design, project management, construction administration, and construction management. She serves on the City of Austin Building and Standards Commission.

*Jon Salinas, AIA*

Jon Salinas is a licensed architect with extensive experience in architectural design and construction management. He has a strong background in the design and construction of multi-family residential, commercial, and institutional buildings. Jon has a keen eye for detail, ensuring that every project meets the highest standards of quality and design.
