Neuro Fitness Foundation

The Neuro Fitness Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a specialized gym for individuals with neurological challenges. Our mission is to maintain a facility that promotes the strengthening of the mind and body through exercise and education. We envision a community where individuals living with neurological impairments have a welcoming place to exercise and improve their health, strength, and independence.

Our story began with the vision of our founder, John David Nichols, who was paralyzed in a water skiing accident in 1988. For the decade leading up to the formation of NFF, John researched and studied exercise equipment that could benefit those with physical challenges. This knowledge and passion led to the creation of a makeshift workout facility in his home garage. With the support of others, NFF received its 501(c)(3) status and was born.

From humble beginnings to our current location, NFF has served over 300 clients, offering free services until 2009. After a temporary closure due to economic challenges, we reorganized, fundraised, and reopened our doors in 2009. Today, we continue to serve the community, committed to raising funds through donations, grants, and corporate sponsorships.
