Our Story

We began our journey many years ago, with a small studio in Woodlawn. As our reputation grew, so did our team, and we eventually built a new studio in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, which remains our current location. As a husband-and-wife team, we bring a unique perspective to our photography. Jay, a self-taught photographer, learned his craft from the ground up, starting with darkroom work before moving on to capturing images. This "backwards approach" has given him a unique understanding of the entire process of image making, from capture to print. Twana, with her expertise in office management and people skills, ensures that our clients have a positive and stress-free experience.
