The studio was first established in 1976 by Kenneth Humphrey, who opened its second location in Nashville. Steve and Pat Humphrey took over the business in 1983, carrying on the legacy of capturing cherished moments and creating beautiful images that last a lifetime.

In 1998, Steve and Pat built a new studio at its current location of 925 N. Mill Street, where they continue to provide exceptional photography services. Steve has 34 years of photography experience, having apprenticed under his father and mastered various photography genres, including weddings, senior portraits, families, children, commercial, and schools.

At Humphrey Photography, we pride ourselves on our commitment to ongoing education, with Steve attending continuing education several times a year and providing workshops in Illinois. We are also well-versed in the art of darkroom custom printing techniques, ensuring that your images are of the highest quality.
