About Our Practitioner
Ivy, our licensed Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine professional, has more than 5,500 hours of academic and clinical training in Chinese medicine theory, western medicine, acupuncture, herbology, and nutrition. With a former position as a medical provider at the integrated medicine department for North East medical Services, Ivy has extensive experience in treating patients with various pain conditions and working closely with primary care physicians, chiropractors, and physical therapists to coordinate treatment objectives and progress updates.
Ivy's journey to practicing acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine began long before her formal training. Born in China and raised in the United States, Ivy worked for eleven years in the medical industry repairing complicated machinery, but found that working in the corporate world was not her dream. The stress left her unsatisfied, and she sought healing through yoga, nutrition, and herbology. After giving birth to her first child, Ivy decided it was time to make the big change and pursue her true passion in life. She commenced her journey at the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and has been an integral part of the holistic community ever since.
Our Services
At Little Pin, we offer a variety of services designed to help you restore vital energy and achieve wellness and balance in your body and mind. Our services include:
- Acupuncture: This ancient practice involves the insertion of fine needles into specific points on the body to stimulate the body's natural healing processes and promote health and well-being.
- Traditional Chinese Medicine: This holistic system of healing is based on the concept that the body has an innate healing ability, and that the practitioner's role is to help the patient, not to impose healing. Traditional Chinese Medicine may include the use of herbal remedies, dietary therapy, and other natural healing methods.
- Nutrition and Herbology: We believe that the food we eat and the herbs we use can have a profound impact on our health. Our practitioner can help you develop a personalized nutrition and herbology plan designed to support your overall health and well-being.
- Yoga and Mindfulness: Through yoga and mindfulness practices, we can help you cultivate greater awareness of your body and mind, and teach you techniques to manage stress and promote relaxation and well-being.
How Our Services Work
Our services are designed to be tailored to your specific needs and goals. Here's how it works:
- Step #1: Pre-Consultation: Before we begin, we'll schedule a pre-consultation to discuss your health concerns, your goals, and any questions or concerns you may have.
- Step #2: Book an Appointment: Once we've discussed your needs, we'll schedule an appointment for your first treatment.
- Step #3: Let the Healing Begin: During your appointment, our practitioner will use the information gathered during your pre-consultation to develop a personalized treatment plan. This may include acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, nutrition and herbology, yoga, and mindfulness practices, or a combination of these services.
