At Bonita Pilates & Yoga, our mission is to strengthen and lengthen bodies through the amazing practices of Pilates and Yoga. Our team of expert instructors, led by founder Renee Carlson, a Physical Therapist and Certified Pilates Instructor, are dedicated to guiding you through intelligent exercises that create healthy backs, spines, lean muscle mass, and an uncanny awareness of the connection between your mind and body.

Our Services

We offer a range of Pilates and Yoga classes, tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. Our classes are designed to improve flexibility, balance, strength, and overall physical fitness, while also promoting relaxation and reducing stress. Our Yoga classes include Absolute Beginner Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Bliss Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Restore and Flow Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, and Vinyasa I. Our Pilates classes focus on reformer training, mat work, and private sessions.

Our Story

Bonita Pilates & Yoga was founded in 2006 as South Bay Pilates, and has since grown to become a premier fitness studio in the South Bay area of San Diego. Our studio is located in the heart of Bonita, upstairs in the Bonita Centre, and features state-of-the-art equipment and a serene atmosphere conducive to relaxation and focus.

Meet Our Team

Our team is led by Renee Carlson, a Physical Therapist and Certified Pilates Instructor with over 20 years of experience in the fitness industry. Renee is passionate about helping her clients achieve their fitness goals and has a unique approach that combines physical therapy techniques with Pilates and Yoga principles.
