Our Coaches

At CrossFit Chula Vista, we pride ourselves on having a team of experienced coaches who are passionate about helping our clients achieve their fitness goals. Our coaches have a variety of backgrounds and certifications, including CrossFit Level 1 & 2, Endurance, Olympic Lifting, Mobility, and more. They are dedicated to providing a supportive and motivating environment for all our members.

Richard Santa Maria, our founder, has a comprehensive CrossFit background and has participated in the CrossFit Games with top rankings. Melissa Abels, our head coach, is a former stay-at-home mom turned empowering CrossFit coach who loves helping clients hit personal records. Lauren Corcoran, Tara Nuncio, Victoria Roel, and Michael Wager are also part of our coaching team, each bringing their unique experience and passion for fitness to our community.
