Our Founders

Joseph J. Darrow Sr. was our founder, who began his journey in 1928. Prior to opening his own funeral home, he worked at the Molene Plow Factory Company and later as an insurance agent for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co., now known as Metlife. During his time in the insurance business, he would often pay people's premiums for them when they were unable to afford the small amount required. His kind and caring nature led him to become a licensed embalmer in 1927, which ultimately led to the opening of his own funeral home.

Kayleen Darrow Rovere, a third-generation member of the Darrow family, continues the family tradition of providing dignified and respectful service to all faiths. She works alongside Lew Darrow to ensure that every family receives the personalized attention they deserve during their time of need.
