Our Story

Home Sweet Home Health Services is a thriving business built on the strong family values and traditions of its founder, Jennifer Palermo. A Boston native and a registered nurse since 2001, Jennifer has dedicated her career to serving communities with compassion and expertise. After years of experience in esteemed hospitals such as Brigham & Woman's, MGH-IHP, and Laboure, Jennifer decided to establish Home Sweet Home in Hull, Massachusetts in 2024. Inspired by her family's journey from Ireland to America, she founded the company on the principles of perseverance and resilience, creating a caring environment that puts family at its core.

As a Proud Veteran Affair Community Care Network Provider, Home Sweet Home Health Services has grown to accommodate the diverse needs of patients and families. During the pandemic and with the ongoing challenges of COVID-19, our team expanded to provide testing services and augmented medical staffing for schools, businesses, and hospitals. Most recently, Home Sweet Home Health Services has started the process of Medicare certification and is now offering Home Health Care (VNA) services throughout the South Shore of Boston. With two branches, Home Health Care and Home Care, our commitment remains the same: providing comprehensive, personalized care with a single heart.

Care Options Explained

*Home Care*

Often referred to as "in-home care, " home care provides non-medical services for seniors who require assistance with daily activities. Based on specific needs, care levels may vary and services can include weekly meal preparation, assistance with incontinence, and help with bathing and grooming, as well as medication reminders. Home care aides can be privately hired or obtained through an agency.

*Home Health Care*

Home health care involves medical support provided by licensed professionals at a patient's home. This type of care is typically prescribed by a doctor as part of a senior's healthcare plan. Home health care can include services such as: medical tests, wound treatment, monitoring of health status, physical, speech, and occupational therapy, administration of medications, IVs, and shots. Home health care can be arranged through home health agencies or hospice agencies.
