Since inception, Kana has consistently delivered on this commitment, and along the way built lasting relationships with our partners, our lenders, and our associates and guests.

Our team has a deep understanding of the hospitality industry and is committed to delivering exceptional results for our partners and guests.

Our Team

Our executive team consists of experienced professionals with a deep understanding of the hospitality industry. Our CEO, Alpesh Patel, has a strong background in hospitality consulting and has led the company's aggressive development strategy. Our President, Kevin Mahoney, has over 32 years of industry experience and has served in various capacities, including General Manager, Regional Manager, and President. Our VP of Revenue Management, Shawna Tyree, has over 20 years of experience in Hospitality Revenue Management and has worked with multiple hotel brands.

Negative Experiences with Hotel Management

The reviewer, Jeff Glenz, had a poor experience with the General Manager (GM) and Assistant General Manager (AGM) at a hotel where he was staying. He alleges that the management team prioritized their own interests over the needs of employees, lying to staff to get them to work extra hard.

Lack of Integrity and Hypocrisy

According to Jeff, the GM and AGM told staff they couldn't take time off during the season, but then proceeded to take two weeks off themselves over Christmas and New Year's, leaving the hotel fully booked and understaffed. When Jeff questioned this, the management team became upset.

Disappointment and Frustration

Jeff expresses his disappointment and frustration with the experience, stating that in his 10 years of working in hospitality, he has never seen both the GM and AGM take time off simultaneously.
