Since childhood, David Cole has been captivated by the world of art. Inspired by his aunt's artistic endeavors, he developed a deep-seated passion for creation. As his family moved across the country, David's education opened up a treasure trove of artistic disciplines, including woodworking, metalworking, and printmaking.

He honed his skills at the NC School of the Arts, where his dedication to ceramics solidified. Guided by mentors like Michael Sherrill and renowned artists, David explored the depths of pottery, mastering the potter's wheel, hand-building techniques, and diverse glazing methods.

David's artistic journey is characterized by an insatiable curiosity and exploration of materials. He finds inspiration in the beauty of his surroundings, transforming the natural world into delicate and captivating forms. Today, David Cole Pottery is a thriving studio and retail space in Oak Ridge, North Carolina. David and his wife welcome visitors to their welcoming space and witness the magic of creation firsthand.
