Happy Corner Academy

At Happy Corner Academy, we strive to create a safe, nurturing environment where every child is known, valued, and acknowledged. We believe that every child is unique and has their own needs, which is why we aim to meet those needs through developmentally appropriate practices and play. Our home away from home facility is designed to provide a safe space where children can discover their love for learning.

Our Curriculum

Our teachers are trained and certified to use Beyond Cribs and Rattles for children aged Birth to 3 years old and Beyond Centers and Circle Time for Preschool through Pre-Kindergarten. This play-based curriculum has been successfully used for over thirty years with typically and atypically developing children, making it the perfect fit for our beliefs and teaching techniques.

We are proud to offer the Early Learning Coalition (ELC) program, which provides food for breakfast, lunch, snack, and milk daily. Our learning schedules include Daily Circle Time, Book, and Group Discussion, Creative Expression, Discovery Experience and Sensory Math and Manipulatives, Character Development, Outdoor Fine Motor and Gross Motor Play.

Our Story

Happy Corner Academy is owned and operated by Denis and Vedrana Cajic since March 3rd, 2016. They are dedicated to the day-to-day operations of the academy and are very involved with every family member that joins the center. Denis has a B.A. in Finance from USF and is very involved in the financial aspect of Happy Corner Academy. He is also a soccer coach at Clearwater Chargers, having always been passionate about working with children of all ages.

Vedrana and Denis have a love for children, which is why they created a loving, safe, and nurturing environment where every child feels welcomed, accepted, and loved. They accept children from one year old to five years old, and their operational hours are from 7 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

At Happy Corner Academy, we believe that nutrition is essential for a child's growth and development. We provide breakfast, lunch, and snack, which are included in the tuition cost. Our lunches are catered daily, and our menus are carefully picked to offer a range of foods with different nutrients that children's bodies need to grow and work properly.

We prioritize the safety and security of every child in our care. Surveillance cameras are installed in each interior room and specific exterior areas. The viewing monitors are located in the office area to allow constant observation by the Director and staff. We have an open-door policy, and parents are always welcome to visit and observe their child anytime. We also have a RING at the front door which shows us who is at the door before we open it.
