The Founder

Welcome to Collins Electric! I'm John Michael Collins, the proud owner and founder. My journey in the electrical field began in the summer of 1999, right after graduating high school. Growing up, I gained hands-on experience in the construction trades working alongside my father, Harry, a General Contractor. This early exposure ignited my passion for electrical work, leading me to start my career as an apprentice with a local electrical contractor.

After four years of dedicated work and study, I earned the title of Journeyman Electrician. Always striving for excellence and professional growth, I achieved the status of Master Electrician. With a strong foundation in the electrical trade, I decided to take the next step and establish Collins Electric, LLC.

Since our inception, we've been committed to providing exceptional electrical services to our clients. We've built a reputation on our integrity, honesty, and quality work, and we're proud to serve the Detroit metro area.
