Experience the Power of Caring!

At The CareGivers, we believe that everyone deserves to live with dignity and independence, regardless of age or ability. Our mission is to provide support and assistance to the elderly and disabled in the Greater Manchester and Nashua area, allowing them to remain in their homes for as long as possible. We recruit, screen, train, and coordinate volunteers to offer a range of non-medical services, including transportation, grocery shopping, food delivery, friendly visits, and reassurance calls.

Our programs are designed to address the unique needs of our clients, who are often alone, on fixed incomes, and without other means of assistance. We understand that remaining in one's own home is not just a convenience, but a vital aspect of maintaining independence and dignity. That's why we're committed to providing innovative programs that address critical gaps in service, and to meeting the evolving needs of our clients with compassion, respect, and dedication.

Our Services

We're proud to offer a range of services that cater to the diverse needs of our clients. From transportation to grocery shopping, food delivery to friendly visits, our volunteers are dedicated to providing support and companionship to those who need it most. Our services include:

  • Caring Cupboard: Providing free food packages to low-income seniors and disabled individuals
  • Caring Rides: Offering transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other essential errands
  • Food for the Homebound: Delivering nutritious meals to those who are unable to cook for themselves
  • Friendly Visits: Providing companionship and social interaction to alleviate loneliness and isolation
  • Projects & Outreach: Coordinating one-day service projects to enhance the lives of our clients
  • Reassurance Calls: Offering regular phone calls to check in and provide emotional support

Our History

The CareGivers was founded in 1984 as a national model program to serve the growing needs of the elderly and disabled populations. Since then, we've grown and evolved to meet the changing needs of our clients, expanding our services to include supplemental programs aimed at enhancing their lives. In 2018, we became a program of Catholic Charities New Hampshire, further strengthening our commitment to providing compassionate care and support to those who need it most.
