About Steven L. Ward

Steven L. Ward, our attorney, has a rich background in both academics and professional life. Raised in Anoka, Minnesota, Steve graduated from high school in 1971 and went on to St. John's University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science in 1975. During his time at St. John's University, Steve was a standout athlete, participating on the men's varsity basketball and baseball teams and earning All Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) honors in both sports. After graduating, Steve taught American History and Government and coached various sports at Hill-Murray High School in St. Paul, Minnesota, before moving on to become Assistant Bank Manager and Credit Officer at the Arizona Bank in Phoenix, Arizona. Steve completed his legal education at William Mitchell College of Law in 1985 and has been practicing law in Hutchinson, MN ever since. Steve is married to Jean Ward and has two children, Katie and Brian. He is actively involved in various community organizations and has served in leadership roles in several of them.
