At Sharon Lane Health and Rehabilitation, we are dedicated to providing exceptional short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, respite care, and hospice care services to our esteemed residents. Our organization, which has been serving the Shawnee and Johnson County community for over 60 years, is built on a foundation of compassion, respect, and a deep understanding of the unique needs of the elderly.

Our mission is to enrich the lives of our residents by providing a warm, home-like environment based on a strong sense of community. We believe that the best approach to caring for our residents is through a team approach, which involves getting to know each resident and their family history, providing better support for each other, and working together as a cohesive team. Our goal is to create an enlivening environment that addresses the needs of the whole person and eliminates loneliness, helplessness, and boredom.

Sharon Lane Health and Rehabilitation is a 78-bed licensed Medicare and Medicaid facility that is locally owned and operated. We offer a wide range of services, including physical, occupational, and speech therapies, ancillary services, hospice care, audiology, vision services, discharge planning, insurance billing, dental services, podiatry services, restorative therapy, psychiatric and psychological services, and barber and beauty shop services.

Our owners, Harry and Connie, have over twenty-eight years of experience in the long-term care business. They have worked in various size organizations, ranging from large corporate entities to family-owned, single facility operations. Their philosophy is centered on a balanced approach to providing services for residents needing skilled nursing care, combining compassionate care with sound business practices.

Harry has a Doctorate in Adult Education and Administration from the University of Kansas and a Long-Term Care Administrator's License in both Kansas and Missouri. He has served as an administrator and owner in several settings and is active on the national level with the American Health Care Association, where he serves on the Independent Owners Council, the Long-Term Care Image Committee, and the National Conference Planning Committee.

Connie has a Master's degree in Nursing at the University of Phoenix and has been a Licensed Administrator. She has been responsible for the development and implementation of specialized programs such as Sub-Acute Rehabilitation Units, Alzheimer's Special Care Units, Risk Management Protocols for Long-Term Care Facilities, and the establishment of Plans of Corrections for Long-Term Care Facilities. Connie currently serves as Sharon Lane Health and Rehabilitation's Director of Nursing.

Our facility is truly a family operation, with Harry and Connie continually involved in the day-to-day operations. Their four children have all worked at the facility at some point in their lives, instilling a deep sense of family values throughout the organization.

• Long-Term Care: Our long-term care services are designed for individuals who require more assistance than what staying at home can provide. We offer a warm, home-like environment that encourages socialization and engagement, while providing exceptional medical care and support.
• Respite Care: Our respite care services offer a short-term guest stay that provides the same amenities and care as long-term care. These services are designed to give caregivers a much-needed break, while ensuring that their loved ones receive exceptional care and support.
• Hospice Care: Our hospice care services are designed for individuals who are at the end of life. Our team of compassionate caregivers will work with each resident and their family to develop a customized care plan that focuses on comfort, dignity, and quality of life.
