Charlotte Image Photography, Inc. is a premier photography studio dedicated to capturing life's most precious moments. Our studio was founded by Stephen B. Dey, a master photographer and certified professional photographer with over three decades of experience in the industry.

Stephen's passion for photography began when he was a student at Charlotte Catholic High School. Following high school, he continued to study the technical and artistic aspects of photography at RCC, where he graduated in 1987. He established Charlotte Image Photography on March 1st, 1989, and has since built a reputation for his versatile talent and ability to evoke emotion through his images.

Over the years, Stephen has continued his education and received his professional photographers certification in 2001 and his master of photography title from the Professional Photographers of America in 2004. In 2001, he opened his second studio, Memory Lane Portraits, LLC., on Hilton Island, SC.

Stephen is married to his beautiful wife and life-long partner, Jessica. They are proud parents of four loving children; Joseph, Alex, Avery, and Hudson. Both Stephen and Jessica are parishioners at St. Matthews Catholic Church, and Stephen is a Knights of Columbus Member. He is also involved with the Down Syndrome Association of Charlotte.

Stephen has been a huge Carolina Panthers fan since the team began and continues to dream of the day that they win a Super Bowl. 25 years later, Stephen's work illustrates his love for the art form of photography and reflects his versatile talent. His goal, whether the photography is for a corporate brochure or for a family heirloom, is to evoke emotion by telling a strong story through his images.

From start to finish, we work with you to create a custom portrait session based around you and your company's needs. We use many tricks of the trade, including lighting and retouching, which enhance your portrait and take it to a new level.

We offer both in-studio and on-location business portraits. In-studio portraits provide a controlled environment, which is ideal for some clients. On-location business portraits offer a unique opportunity to use the natural environment or bring our studio to you, which is helpful for large numbers of employees who need to be photographed.
