Company History

Snyder & Associates was founded in 1985 by Georgia Anne Snyder-Falkinham, who initially focused on renovation projects. The early years of the company were marked by the restoration of the 500 block of South Main Street in Blacksburg, Virginia. Today, our office is located on this block, alongside several other professional organizations.

Mike Snyder joined the company in 1995, after graduating from Virginia Tech with a degree in Residential Property Management. Since then, Snyder & Associates has experienced substantial growth, with a strong focus on employee retention. Many of our superintendents and field personnel have been with the company for over 15 years.

Services

Snyder & Associates offers a wide range of services to meet your construction needs. Our experienced project managers and superintendents have an average of 20 years of experience, most of which has been with our organization. We provide self-perform construction services, including rough and finished carpentry, concrete, and site services.

Our preconstruction services allow us to work directly with our clients early in the conceptual stages of your project, providing budgets, constructability reviews, and our experience in construction material choices. We can also assist in site selection and navigating permit processes.

We offer design-build services, where we work directly with our design team to develop your project from conception to construction completion. This process has proven to be very successful in projects with limited schedules, as it provides overlap in construction and design planning not available in traditional projects.

Our team-build process has historically been very successful, providing a timely project turnaround and allowing the owner to bring a design team that is familiar with their particular project and building needs.

We also offer excavation services, owning, maintaining, and having skilled operators for our construction equipment. We provide services in grading, utilities, and site preparation for local owners. These services allow us to maintain critical schedules on our construction projects.

Additionally, we provide services in helical pier installation, carbon fiber installation, and other specialized services to meet your construction needs.
