Swampscott Counseling Associates is a collaborative practice founded by Rachel Fischer, LICSW, and Pamela Grasso-Lyon, LMHC, in 2004. Both Rachel and Pamela have extensive experience working with adolescents and adults in various settings, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, and other developmental life issues. They share a commitment to providing a supportive and non-judgmental environment for their clients.
Rachel Fischer, LICSW, is a board-certified clinical social worker with a specialization in working with individuals and couples around depression, anxiety, trauma, grief/loss, and other life issues. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a Master of Social Work from Simmons School of Social Work, Boston. Rachel's background in Human Resources has given her a unique understanding of the challenges employees and employers face in today's workplace.
Pamela Grasso-Lyon, LMHC, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 15 years of experience. She provides individual and couples counseling for adults, focusing on anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, parenting, and life transitions. Pamela holds a Master's Degree in Counseling and Psychological Services from Salem State College. Her previous work in residential programs for at-risk youth has equipped her with valuable experience in working with adolescents and young adults.
Both Rachel and Pamela are committed to ongoing professional development, having received training in Level 1 & Level 2 EMDR and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT). They are dedicated to helping clients navigate life's challenges and find pathways to healing and growth.
