Our Story
Little Sonshine School was founded over 32 years ago by Mrs. Sullivan, who had a passion for teaching young children. The school has since grown and evolved, but our commitment to providing a high-quality education and caring for our students has remained unwavering.
Our Staff
Our team of experienced and dedicated teachers and staff are highly qualified and passionate about teaching and caring for young children. Our co-directors, Mrs. Sullivan and Mrs. Piccardo, bring over 50 years of combined experience in early childhood education. Our teachers are trained to meet the unique needs of each child, and we strive to create a warm and welcoming environment for every student.
Our Programs
We offer a range of programs to cater to the diverse needs and interests of our students. Our pre-school programs focus on the whole development of the child, covering areas such as language, numeracy, social skills, and creative expression. Our Transitional Kindergarten (TK)/Kindergarten classes use a curriculum that meets state standards and focuses on fostering academic and personal growth.
Our Curriculum
Our curriculum is designed to be engaging, interactive, and fun, while still providing a solid foundation in literacy, numeracy, and social skills. We use a range of resources and materials, including ACSI and Horizons-Christian based Curriculum, Alphabet Letter and Sounds (A-Z), Zoo Phonics, Numbers 0-12, Bible Stories, Spanish, Art, and Weekly Themes.
