Our Mission

Valley Caregiver Resource Center (VCRC) and its affiliated programs provide a comprehensive array of services designed to assist elders and their families in navigating the challenges associated with aging. We are committed to promoting personal and community well-being, connecting the overlooked with the resources they need to thrive.

Who We Serve

Based in Fresno, California, VCRC serves the Central Valley region, encompassing Fresno, Kern, Kings, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, Stanislaus, Tulare, and Tuolumne counties. We understand the unique struggles and triumphs faced by seniors and their caregivers, and we are dedicated to providing relevant, personalized support.

Caregiver Resource Program

• Individual and group counseling for caregivers
• Advocacy and assistance with caregiving challenges
• Information and referrals to community resources
• Caregiver support groups and education programs

HICAP Program

• Free and unbiased community education and individual counseling to Medicare beneficiaries

OASIS Adult Day Program

• An innovative adult day care program for people in the early stages of dementia and other cognitive impairments

Outreach & Advocacy

• Free and confidential advocacy services to residents of licensed Residential Care Facilities
• Community outreach and education programs
• Research and advocacy on behalf of seniors and caregivers

Who We Are

VCRC is a private, non-profit organization funded by generous grants from local agencies on aging and private donations. We are proud to hold a Silver Seal of Transparency and are working towards earning the Gold Seal. Our board and staff are dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of the individuals we serve.
