Our Founders In 1991, Jason and Kari Steen founded Steen Construction as co-owners and operators of the now "SC Design/Build Construction Company". The custom home construction legacy and family business environment is now owned and operated by Matt Ness. Our entire SC design/build team continues to demonstrate the core values system formed by Jason and Kari, --that building relationships is essential in understanding and exceeding our clients custom home construction expectations.

Matt Matt Ness, Owner - President, Project Manager Matt has been with Steen Construction (SC Design-Build Construction Company) for several years. As the owner and manager of the sales team, his strong construction team leadership role as president and a project manager has him on-site every day. This fits perfectly with our practice to see that our clients get their projects done efficiently, timely, and on budget. With vested ownership in the company, Matt shines in his current role and builds every home with special attention to detail just as if it were his own.
