Family Counseling Center of the CSRA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit mental health agency located in Augusta, Georgia. Our mission is to provide mental health care to anyone, regardless of their ability to pay. We offer holistic, community-oriented, and trauma-informed services with a passion to improve the overall health and wellness of our community. Our comprehensive services are available to individuals and families, including children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly, living in the CSRA.
Our Story
The Family Counseling Center was founded in 1979 by a group of concerned citizens, organized by the United Way of the CSRA, who recognized the need for professional counseling services to serve members of the community who could not afford private mental health care and did not qualify for services provided by state agencies. While our organization accepts insurance-based services, approximately 55% of our clients live at, or below, the poverty line and normally have no insurance or inadequate coverage.
Our Services
At Family Counseling Center of the CSRA, we provide counseling services for individuals, couples, families, and groups regardless of the ability to pay. Our staff is comprised of licensed professional counselors and licensed clinical social workers. We provide services that are structured to meet your needs with the belief that everyone can lead a more fulfilling life. Through assessment, counseling, interventions, and education, we aim to assist individuals achieve fulfillment in their daily lives.

Our Program
We understand that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all practice. We are consistently evolving our agency to provide the best care and training to our clients and community. Our therapists are dedicated to working with clients in an individualized and comprehensive approach to accomplish treatment goals established by the client.
