Guiding You Towards a Path of Hope and Healing

Pathways Pastoral Counseling is a 501(C)3 non-profit ministry of counseling that aims to provide the best possible service with care, concern, and attentiveness to our clients' needs. Our mission is to promote, equip, and restore healthy relationships in individuals, couples, and families. We were established in 2004 and have since become a trusted and reputable counseling service in the Upstate community.

Our Story

Our origins began with a corporate vision to provide a clinically competent and theologically informed resource to aid those struggling individually, in relationships, families, workplaces, and those experiencing chronic illness. Our founders, the Rev. Dr. Trey Kuhne and members of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Spartanburg, SC, had a passion to help and support individuals and families in their times of need. We moved our office from Westminster Presbyterian Church to St. Christopher's Episcopal Church in 2006 and have since continued to grow and expand our services.

Our Services

At Pathways Pastoral Counseling, we offer a range of services to cater to the unique needs of our clients. Our team of experienced therapists, led by Dr. Trey Kuhne, provides individual, couple, and family counseling services. We specialize in addressing common issues such as chronic medical conditions, relationships, and finding meaning in life. Our approach is centered around the structural family therapy model with logotherapy, an existential philosophy of discovering meaning in life.

Our Team

Dr. Trey Kuhne, our clinical therapist, is an ordained Presbyterian (USA) Minister, a pastoral counselor, a Clinical Logotherapist, and a SC Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He has over 30 years of experience in the field of counseling and has a proven track record of delivering effective and compassionate care to his clients.

Donations and Support

We appreciate the support of our community and rely on donations to continue providing our services. We have established two special funds to address ongoing needs: the Tim Taylor Memorial Scholarship Fund and the Recovery Fund. If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation, please mail a check made out to PATHWAYS to our address or use our PayPal link.
