Our Practice
M D Aesthetics & Dermatology was founded in 2017 by Dr. Gabriel J. Martinez-Diaz, MD, FAAD, a Stanford University trained board-certified dermatologist. Located in the heart of Chicago's West Loop neighborhood, our practice is situated in a state-of-the-art, professionally designed building with a unique blend of industrial chic and artistic flair. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive, individualized care for patients ranging from newborns to seniors.
Dr. Martinez-Diaz
As a premier medical specialist, Dr. Martinez-Diaz is trained to treat skin and soft tissue using both medical and cosmetic techniques. With a focus on procedural dermatology, he is an expert in performing a wide range of treatments and procedures to address various skin concerns, from acne and rashes to skin cancer surveillance and treatment. Dr. Martinez-Diaz is also an expert in performing general dermatology surgery, including Mohs Microscopic Surgery.

Patient Experiences
Positive Experiences
A few patients had excellent experiences with Dr. Gabriel and his staff, citing great service, knowledgeable doctors, and efficient appointments. Samantha Balaton, for example, has been going to the doctor for years and has had positive experiences with Anna, the Hydrofacial specialist. Eduardo Garcia also had a great experience, praising the doctor and staff, saying it was his second time going there in three years and he would highly recommend it.
Negative Experiences
Several patients had negative experiences with the doctor and his staff. Varun Juloori felt the doctor was unprofessional and discontinuous, Nagham Ghonaim had a terrible experience with the support staff, who refused to reschedule her appointment and charged her a cancellation fee. Maggie Post was treated rudely by the bookkeeper when she had to reschedule due to being sick. Dhara Patel was told she had to pay a $250 fee for an uncovered service, and when she tried to cancel, she was charged a cancellation fee. Owen O'Connor was forced to come into the office with COVID-19 or pay a cancellation fee.
