What is Montessori Education?

Montessori education is a scientifically-based educational approach developed by Italian physician and educator Maria Montessori. It is characterized by an emphasis on independence, freedom within limits, and respect for a child's natural psychological development. In a Montessori classroom, children are encouraged to explore and learn at their own pace, with specially designed materials and activities that promote self-directed learning.

Our Programs

Our programs are designed to cater to children from infancy to 12 years of age. We offer five different age group programs:

• Infants, 6 weeks - 12 months
• Toddlers I, 12 - 24 months
• Toddlers II, 24 - 36 months
• Preschool & VPK, 3 - 5 years
• After School, Holiday, and Summer Camp, 5 - 12 years

Each program is designed to meet the unique needs and abilities of each age group, with experienced teachers and staff dedicated to providing a nurturing and supportive environment.

Enrichment Activities

At ABC Montessori Academy, we believe that learning should be fun and engaging. That's why we offer a range of enrichment activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development. Our enrichment activities include:

• Fitness: Our teachers encourage children to be active and healthy through outdoor play and team sports like soccer.
• Music: We welcome volunteer musicians who teach children the basics of music and how to play musical instruments.
• Computers & Technology: Our instructors teach children how to use technology and handle digital devices.
• Karate: Certified instructors teach children the basics of karate and self-defense.
• Dance: We offer dance classes that promote coordination and balance.
• Field Trips: We organize regular field trips that align with our Montessori curriculum, providing children with authentic learning experiences.

Nutrition

We believe that healthy eating habits are essential for children's overall well-being. That's why we follow the USDA guidelines to provide nutritious meals and snacks for our children. Our menu is designed to promote healthy eating habits and provide a balanced diet for every child.

Safety & Security

The safety and security of our children are our top priority. We take every measure to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for every child. Our safety measures include:

• Cameras and constant surveillance
• A code-locked door that only parents and registered guardians can open
• A sign-in and sign-out process for children
• Regular fire drills to ensure the quick and safe response of children and staff
