Empowering children to thrive in a caring environment

Our Philosophy

At Montessori of Alameda, we believe that every child is born a unique individual with their own interests, abilities, and needs. We are committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment that fosters growth, discovery, and learning. Our philosophy is rooted in the principles of respect, individuality, personal responsibility, and cooperation.

Our Goals

Our primary goal is to help parents educate their children through a partnership between the child, parent, and teacher. We strive to help children develop a positive self-image, which is key to the development of their full potential. We also aim to lead children to mastery of their intellectual, social, and physical skills, as well as encourage inherent self-motivated and self-disciplined learning that will lead to a lifelong pursuit of knowledge.

Our Programs

We offer a range of programs to cater to the diverse needs of our young learners. Our Infant Program is designed for children ages 3 months to crawling, while our Toddler Program is geared towards children walking-2.5 years of age. Our Pre-school/Kindergarten Program is perfect for children aged 2.5-6 years old.

Our Campus

Our state-of-the-art campus is designed to provide a welcoming and engaging environment for our students. Our classrooms are equipped with a range of Montessori materials and resources, and our outdoor spaces are designed to encourage exploration and discovery.

Our Staff

Our staff consists of trained Montessori teachers who are committed to observing each child's behavior, interests, and tendencies to prepare our classrooms to meet each individual's needs. We believe that parents are the most significant adults in a child's life, and we strive to create a partnership with each family to create a positive environment for each child.

Enrollment Process

The first step in the enrollment process is to schedule a personal visit to our campus. During the visit, our Director will greet you and show you our indoor and outdoor environments. We will take you through the rhythm of the day, talk to you about our schedules and Montessori curriculum, and allow you to view our classrooms with children in action via our one-way windows.

Parent Education and Teacher Education

We offer a range of parent and teacher education programs to help our families and staff develop a deeper understanding of the Montessori philosophy and its applications. Our parent education nights and teacher education programs are designed to equip parents and educators with the knowledge and skills they need to support the development of the whole child.

Endeavor Schools

Montessori of Alameda is part of the Endeavor Schools network, a network of private schools that is unwaveringly committed to the safety, well-being, and development of every child in our schools. Our purpose is to provide children with a superior education in a caring environment while earning parents' trust with proven results.

Testimonials

"We are thrilled to have our child attend Montessori of Alameda. The teachers are caring and knowledgeable, and the curriculum is engaging and challenging. Our child is eager to go to school in the morning and comes home happy in the afternoon, often with projects to share." - Linus Rollman
