Fit Kids of America is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization serving the needs of children ages two to fourteen in Miami-Dade County. Our mission is to support the development of children who will become academically engaged, physically fit, socially adept, and culturally enriched to become independent and successful citizens of the future.
Our History
Fit Kids of America was established in 1998 as a result of the growing concern of the health risks associated with overweight, obesity, and sedentary lifestyles of children and teens. For over eighteen years, we have been serving families and children with high-quality academic support, specialized youth fitness training, nutrition education, and a myriad of other services.
Our Programs
We offer a wide range of programs designed to support the development of children in various aspects of their lives. Our programs include Fit Kids Virtual Pre-School Academy, After School Enrichment, Summer Camp, Sports, Fitness & Performing Arts, Entertainment Technology & Sports Summer Camp, Field Trips, Fall Camp, Winter Camp, Spring Camp, Teacher Planning, Career Day, Personal Responsibility Education Program, and Adolescent Health Program.
Our Facility
Our state-of-the-art facility is equipped with over 50 computers available for homework assignments, I-Ready, and more. We also have a healthy and balanced nutrition program that is pediatrician and dietitian approved.

Our Team
Our team consists of dedicated professionals who are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children. Our founders, Connie Sootin, C.L.C. and Rhonda L. Smith, have been instrumental in shaping the organization and its programs. Our board members, including Frances Nobregas, Principal of Olympia Heights Elementary School, and Nora Farinas, a Community Business Leader, provide valuable guidance and support.
Positive Experiences at Fit Kids
The majority of parents who reviewed their experiences at Fit Kids of America had overwhelmingly positive feedback. Many praised the staff and teachers for being caring, loving, and professional. Parents appreciated the bi-lingual environment, the variety of activities, and the welcoming atmosphere.
