We are a full-service veterinary practice and animal hospital located in Lakeland, FL, serving Polk County, Lakeland, Bartow, Winter Haven, and all of Central Florida. Our team of compassionate and experienced veterinarians, led by Board-Certified Theriogenologist Dr. Carla Barstow, is dedicated to providing top-notch care and personalized attention to each and every pet that walks through our doors.

Our Services

We offer a wide range of veterinary services, including wellness care, diagnostic testing, dietary and weight management, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention, spay and neuter services, vaccinations, and microchipping. In addition to our general practice services, we are also a premier facility specializing in reproductive and breeding services for dogs and cats. Our reproductive services include breeding soundness examinations, semen collection and analysis, artificial insemination, gestational aging via ultrasound, pregnancy diagnosis via ultrasound, pre-whelping puppy counts (X-rays), and more.

Our History

Highland Pet Hospital was founded over 30 years ago by Dr. Beverly Brimacomb, and we are proud to carry on her legacy of providing outstanding care in both general practice and reproductive services. Today, we are considered one of the top breeding facilities in our region, and clients travel from throughout Florida and the Southeastern United States to receive care from Dr. Barstow and our team.
