Our Mission and Story

At Prototype Health, our mission is to provide high-quality, cost-effective, integrated primary health care for uninsured, underinsured, and needy individuals. We believe that everyone deserves access to quality healthcare, regardless of their financial situation. To fulfill this mission, we offer our services on a sliding scale, based on household income. Since our inception in 2016, we have been serving our community through a combination of staff and volunteers.

Meet the Team

Our team is comprised of dedicated healthcare professionals who are passionate about providing compassionate care to our patients. Led by our founder and CEO, Dr. Jami Kupperman, NMD, our team includes Dr. David Gallegos, NMD, who specializes in integrative primary care with a focus on pain management, and Ariana Hernandez, MA, our medical assistant.

Services

At Prototype Health, we offer a wide range of services that cater to the unique needs of our patients. Our services include:

• Primary Care: We provide routine wellness exams, acute care for illnesses such as colds and flu, and chronic health management for conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure.
• Integrative Medicine: We combine conventional medical care with complementary therapies such as naturopathic medicine, acupuncture, and IV nutrients to create individualized health plans.
• Laser Hair Removal: Our certified medical laser technicians and medical director offer permanent hair reduction treatments using the Lumenis Lightsheer EC Diode Hair Removal Laser.

We offer various types of visits to suit our patients' needs:

• Well-checks: Regular check-ups for patients of all ages, from birth to geriatrics.
• Acute Visits: Urgent care for illnesses like colds and flu.
• Chronic Health Management: Ongoing care for chronic conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure.
• Sports Physicals: Medical exams for athletes and individuals who participate in sports.
• Reproductive Health and Women's Exams: Routine exams and pap smears for women.
• Nutritional Consults: Expert guidance on healthy eating and nutrition.

We offer a range of procedures to address specific health concerns:

• Acupuncture: A traditional Chinese medicine technique that stimulates specific points on the body to promote healing.
• Ingrown Toenail Treatment: Treatment for painful ingrown toenails.
• IV Nutrients: Intravenous supplements that provide essential vitamins and nutrients.
• Ear Wax Removal: Gentle removal of excess ear wax.
• Injection Therapy: Treatment for chronic pain and inflammation.
• Prolotherapy: Injection therapy for joint and muscle pain.

Payment Options

We understand that everyone's financial situation is different. That's why we offer two payment options:

• Pay-as-you-go: Pay for each visit or service as you go.
• Membership Program: Enjoy unlimited visits and services for a flat fee per year.

As a non-profit organization, we rely on donations to continue providing our services to those in need. Your contribution can help us make a difference in the lives of our patients.
