Our Mission and Philosophy
At Newark Day Nursery and Children's Center, our mission is to provide the highest quality early childhood and school age services to educate, enrich, and inspire children and youth from culturally and economically diverse families. For over 59 years, we have been dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters healthy growth, development, and learning for children from 6 weeks to 14 years old.
Staff and Curriculum
Our Early Childhood Education program is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and our Summer Camp is accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA). Our experienced and qualified teaching staff are committed to providing research-based curriculum and age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Programs and Services
We offer a range of programs and services, including Early Care and Education (ECE) programs for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children. Our ECE programs provide a secure facility with multiple outdoor play areas, providing a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow.
Sliding Fee Scale
We understand that every family has different financial needs. That's why we offer a sliding fee scale for our Early Care and Education programs. We also offer a Purchase of Care (POC) program, which allows families to customize their child's care to their unique needs.

About Our Facility
Our modern and secure facility is located on 5 wooded acres in west Newark, providing a peaceful and natural environment for children to learn and grow. Our facility is designed to meet the unique needs of children from 6 weeks to 14 years old, with individual classrooms and outdoor play areas tailored to each age group.
Tuition and Payment
Our tuition fees are based on a sliding fee scale for our Early Care and Education programs. School Age Care tuition fees vary based on the care hours and transportation needed for each child. Payment for these programs is due weekly on the Monday of the week of care.
