Our Story
Our history dates back to 1969, when Helga Schnakenberg, the co-founder of Edelweiss Restaurant, opened the doors to her first restaurant in Heidelberg, Germany. Her passion for traditional German cuisine and hospitality drove her to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where guests could experience the authentic flavors and culture of Germany. After 50 years, Edelweiss Restaurant remains a beloved institution, serving up delicious German cuisine and fine beers to people from all over the world.
