Our Story
Our story began when our founder, Gary Bodenstadt, started his mechanical apprenticeship on the family farm in Ohio. With years of experience under his belt, Gary moved to Alaska and started The Gas & Diesel Doctor, specializing in Ford, GM, and Dodge diesel diagnostics, repair, and maintenance. His expertise in suspension and drivetrain repair quickly earned him a reputation as one of the go-to mechanics in the state.
Today, our team continues to build on Gary's legacy, with his sons Jamie and Marty taking the reins. Together, they have expanded our services to include a wide range of automotive repairs, from general maintenance and tune-ups to engine repairs and custom exhaust installations.
