• Pre-Operative and Post-Operative Care: We provide pre-operative and post-operative care for patients undergoing cataract surgery, LASIK surgery, and other eye surgeries.
• Contact Lens Examinations: Our experienced optometrists can help you get the right contact lenses for your eyes and prescribe the correct lenses for your needs.
• Pediatric Vision Care: We cater to the unique needs of children's eye care, providing comprehensive eye exams and treatment for pediatric-related eye problems.

Meet Our Team

Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. At Morris Avenue Eyecare, we are privileged to have a talented and experienced team of optometrists, opticians, and office staff who are committed to providing premium service.

• Dr. Valencia Wells: Dr. Wells is a native of Gallion, Alabama, and a 2009 graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry. She has extensive experience in ocular diseases and conditions, pre-operative and post-operative cataract surgery care, diabetic and hypertensive eye care, and glaucoma treatment.
• Mia Parnell: Mia has been with Morris Avenue Eyecare since 1999 and has extensive experience in practice management, insurance benefits, and vendor contracting.
• Lee Anne Jones: Lee Anne is an optician with over 30 years of experience in creating, dispensing, and maintaining your eyewear. She can precisely assess your visual needs and match you with the perfect eyewear and lens design.

History

Morris Avenue Eyecare has a rich history of providing exceptional patient care. Founded in 1999 by Dr. Donna F. Matthews, we have been dedicated to providing comprehensive eye care services to our patients. After Dr. Matthews retired, Dr. Wells purchased the practice in 2013.

Before your first visit, we require some information from you to better serve you. Please download, print, and fill out the necessary forms before your appointment. Once filled out, please bring it with you to your appointment and share it with our office manager.

Insurance

We accept various insurance plans, including VSP, Blue Cross Blue Shield, EyeMed, and UnitedHealthcare. We also accept Medicare and Medicaid.
