At Waechter Architects PC, we are a veteran-owned architecture and design company based in Ravenswood, on the north side of Chicago. With decades of experience, we have had the pleasure of working on a wide range of projects, from kiosks to kilns, from patisseries to car dealers, and from university spaces to residential homes. Our team of experienced architects, including Principals Charlie Friedlander and Michael Waechter, have worked together for over twenty-five years on projects throughout the Chicagoland area.
Our Team
Our team is led by Principals Michael Waechter and Charlie Friedlander, both of whom have extensive experience in the architecture and design industry. Michael Waechter, AIA, NCARB, MArch, has nearly thirty years of experience in building design and construction. He has worked on a variety of projects, including residences, condominiums, and small commercial structures, as well as public projects such as the Simeon Career Academy and numerous facilities for the Chicago Public Schools. Charlie Friedlander has more than thirty years of experience in the architecture and construction industry. As an Associate Principal with DLK Architecture in Chicago, he served as project architect on many complex and high-profile urban infrastructure and municipal projects.
