Our History
Melvin J. Sliwinski Funeral Home has been a trusted name in the community for generations, providing dedicated service to Buffalo families. In 1965, Melvin J. Sliwinski opened the funeral home at 85 George Urban Blvd. He was a respected member of the community, involved in various charitable organizations and community groups. His son, David J. Sliwinski, became a licensed funeral director in 1989 and built the second location in 2006 at 5090 Transit Road, Depew, NY 14043. After a distinguished career of service to Buffalo families, David retired in 2023, and the funeral home is now operated as New Comer Cremations & Funerals.
