Infant Program - Baby Sitters
The beginning of wonderful pre-school memories starts in our "Baby Stars" infant room, a safe and nurturing "home away from home", where they can explore and make new discoveries. Our highly trained and caring staff provide a consistent daily routine that includes feeding, changing, and sleeping schedules, as well as tummy time, music, and sensory activities.
Toddlers
At this age, children are meeting new challenges as fast as they come. Crawling, walking and eventually running are levels they accomplish in what seems like a blink of an eye. Our toddler program is designed to meet the needs of these rapidly developing children. Through play and exploration, our toddlers learn social skills, language development, and cognitive skills. Our teachers provide a rich environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning.
Preschoolers
A good preschool can make a difference in a child's future school years. We offer individual programs for children to help them learn in an environment that is stress-free and fun. Our preschool program is designed to prepare children for kindergarten. We focus on developing essential skills such as listening, following instructions, sharing, and taking turns. Our curriculum includes language development, math, science, social studies, art, music, and physical education.
School-Age
As children get older and more independent, they need new challenges. That's why we offer a school-age program for before and after school care and enrichment. Our school-age program provides a safe and stimulating environment where children can relax, have fun, and continue to learn. We offer a variety of activities such as arts and crafts, sports, cooking, and science experiments.
Our Teaching Philosophy
We believe that children learn most of the "social rules" of getting along with others between 2-5 years old. Children who can understand speech and talk like their age peers are more likely to be accepted and fit in. A strong foundation built early in life continues to hold steady through the later years. This foundation is built by strengthening and encouraging growth and development in all areas of the self: social/emotional, physical, cognitive, communication, and creativity. Through education and experience with children, we have learned that a child's play is his or her work. Through a medium of play, many skills are learned. The activities offered at Little Stars Preschool are geared to help the children achieve a solid sense of independence, knowledge, and friendship.
