Discover the beauty of fine-art prints
The Print Club of Albany is a 90-year-old national arts organization with a rich history in the world of fine-art prints. Established in 1933, our organization has dedicated itself to promoting the art of printmaking and bringing unique, high-quality prints to our members.
Presentation Prints
At the heart of our organization is our Presentation Print program. Each year, we commission a nationally-known artist to create a limited-edition, fine-art print for our members. These prints are truly unique and often worth more than the annual membership fee. Our member artists create these prints using various techniques and mediums, resulting in a diverse range of styles and themes.
Permanent Collection
Beyond our Presentation Print program, we also maintain a permanent collection of fine-art prints for exhibitions, events, education, and display. This collection is a treasure trove of artistic talent, showcasing the works of renowned artists from around the world.
Artist Members
Our Artist Member program is designed for talented artists who want to share their work with our community. To become an Artist Member, one must submit three slides or pictures of their work, along with a resume or CV. If accepted, Artist Members will donate one print to our permanent collection, become voting members, and pay dues.
Past Prints
We are proud to showcase some of our past Presentation Prints, which have been generously donated by our Artist Members. For example, our 2020 print, "Hobnail Lamp, " was created by Nick Patten, a renowned artist known for his stunning oil paintings. "Hobnail Lamp" is a beautiful lithograph, featuring a vintage lamp in a serene, evening setting.
Another notable print is "From East Buchanan, " an etching created by Bill Murphy in 2022. Murphy's work has been exhibited worldwide and is part of numerous public collections, including the British Museum and the Brooklyn Museum.
