Capturing Life's Precious Moments, One Frame at a Time.
Your Bergen County Baby Photographer
As a Bergen County baby photographer for several years, I understand the importance of capturing the precious moments of new parenthood. I've had the privilege of working with numerous families, creating beautiful and treasured memories that will last a lifetime. My goal is to make sure every photo session is a happy and fun experience for you and your baby.
At Jolie Amelie Maternity, Newborn and Family Photography, we believe that every moment with your baby is precious. That's why I've taken the time to answer some frequently asked questions and provide valuable tips to ensure a stress-free and enjoyable experience during your newborn photography session.
Booking
When it comes to booking a newborn photo session, I always recommend scheduling it within the first two weeks after birth. This is an ideal time to capture those tiny toes and fingers, as well as that precious first smile. I've had many requests from new parents who've given birth just a few days ago, but unfortunately, due to high demand, sometimes I have to decline appointments. To avoid any disappointment, it's best to book your session as early as possible, ideally during the second trimester.
Duration of the Session
Some parents are surprised when I tell them that the session can take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours. However, once the session begins, they soon understand why. Newborns are unpredictable, and they're not used to posing or sitting still for long periods. Feeding, posing, and soothing the baby can take up a significant amount of time. While some sessions may be shorter, it's better to plan for the full 2-4 hour time frame to ensure that we capture the perfect moments.
Things to Bring
When arriving at the session, it's helpful to bring some essential items, such as pacifiers, baby wipes, extra diapers, bottles, and formula (if not breastfeeding). Don't forget to bring extra clothes for yourself and any special toys or blankets you'd like to feature in the photos. While it may seem like a lot, trust me, these essentials will help ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
Feeding and Relaxation
Feeding your baby before the session can help ensure a happy and full baby, which will make capturing those adorable shots much easier. Don't worry if your baby makes a mess or has an accident during the session - it's all part of the experience! Remember to relax and enjoy these precious moments being captured. As your Bergen County baby photographer, I've seen it all, and I'm here to guide you through the process.
Conclusion
At Jolie Amelie Maternity, Newborn and Family Photography, our goal is to create beautiful and treasured memories for you and your baby. By following these simple tips and preparing yourself for the session, you'll be well on your way to enjoying this special time with your baby.
