Our History

Adams-Bickel Associates, LLC boasts a rich history dating back to the 1940s. Founded by the esteemed construction expert Walter J. Adams, the company built a solid reputation for its expertise in both residential and commercial construction. In 1980, H. James Bickel joined alongside Adams, leading to the formal establishment of Adams-Bickel Associates, Inc. Mr. Bickel's leadership steered the company through a period of significant growth and development. In 2013, as the company prepared for a new era of expansion, it underwent a reorganization, officially becoming Adams-Bickel Associates, LLC. Following Mr. Bickel's retirement, the company was led by Joseph P. Bello, Jr. and Gustavo I. Perea, who focused on expanding the company's services to encompass the commercial, industrial, and institutional markets. This strategic shift positioned Adams-Bickel as a prominent player in the construction industry, particularly in Construction Management and General Contracting.

The company continued to evolve in early 2021 when Mr. Perea retired. Committed to continued growth and unwavering dedication to craftsmanship, Mr. Bello brought in Bryan Hurtado as a new partner, paving the way for the company's continued success. A founding member of the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC), Adams-Bickel has consistently received recognition for its exceptional work across a diverse portfolio of projects, including industrial, commercial, institutional, educational, religious, healthcare, and multifamily residential developments of varying scales.
