Promoting Excellence in Podiatric Medicine and Public Health

Welcome to the Louisiana Podiatric Medical Association (LPMA) website. We are a not-for-profit organization composed of podiatrists who are licensed in the state of Louisiana and are members of the American Podiatric Medical Association. As the official state component society of the American Podiatric Medical Association, we are dedicated to promoting the art and science of podiatric medicine and the betterment of public health within the state of Louisiana.

Our mission is to establish the identity of the podiatric physician as the expert in the treatment of foot and ankle conditions, ensure that our members can continue to provide quality medical care to the public, and provide leadership and a forum for dialogue with healthcare professionals involved in the healthcare delivery system. We aim to unite with similar state podiatric medical associations in the formation of the American Podiatric Medical Association and promote fellowship and goodwill among Louisiana member podiatrists who share in the challenges of podiatric practice.
