Our Story

Schulte Family Dentistry was established in 1980 by Dr. Mark J. Schulte, DMD, initially located in the third tower of St. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital. In 1998, Dr. Carol Muth joined the practice and remains an integral part of our team to this day. In 2007, Dr. Mark Schulte's son, David, graduated from The University of Louisville Dental School and began working alongside his father and Dr. Muth. In 2016, Dr. David Schulte took over the ownership of Schulte Family Dentistry from his father, allowing Dr. Mark Schulte to reduce his clinical practice and indulge more in his passion for golf. In December 2020, Dr. Mark Schulte transitioned to a part-time faculty role at his alma mater, The University of Louisville Dental School.

In 2017, Dr. David Schulte's wife, Megan, joined the practice to assist at the front desk. Over time, she has become a valued member of the team, serving as the Practice Administrator. Together, along with their dedicated team, Schulte Family Dentistry continues to flourish as a family-owned dental practice. It's a unique and heartwarming journey for a truly exceptional place.

Our team includes Dr. David Schulte, Dr. Carol Muth, Dr. Selena Pape, Megan Schulte, Patty Sivado, Savannah Denny, Choya Manierre, Donna Amon, Amanda Lynch, Tori Shackelton, Brooke Craven, Rachel Bowling, Annie Mersamann, Ashley Cooper, and Baylee Markert. Each member of our team brings their unique skills and expertise to ensure that our patients receive the highest quality care.

Insurance Services

At Schulte Family Dentistry, we understand that navigating insurance can be complicated and overwhelming. That's why we accept a wide variety of insurance plans to make your dental care as affordable as possible. Some of the insurance plans we accept include Delta Dental PPO, Humana PPO/Medicare, Aetna PPO, Teamcare, Metlife PPO, Anthem/Liberty, Cigna PPO, GEHA PPO, and Guardian PPO.

We also offer the Schulte Gold Plan for those without insurance coverage. This plan includes two exams per year, yearly X-rays, two Prophys (cleanings), two Fluoride treatments, and additional benefits such as no deductibles, 20% off all other dental work, and no annual maximums or waiting periods.
